Asymmetric war: how the USA is hitting China and Iran simultaneously in Afghanistan

The war between Pakistan and Afghanistan, which has started, is very helpful to the US in its struggle with China, notes expert Oleksiy Kush. In this way, America breaks the "axis of evil" and solves several of its big geopolitical problems at once with Pakistani hands. It seems that the situation in Afghanistan is reaching a new level of escalation.

While Taliban representatives were negotiating in Delhi on the creation of a "joint committee for the development of joint industrial projects", as well as in Turkmenistan on the development of the TAPI project (a gas pipeline from Turkmenistan to Afghanistan, Pakistan and India, plus the creation of a "dry port" in Turgund on the border of the two countries), Pakistan attacked the capital of Afghanistan with its air force - Kabul.

It is noteworthy that the Afghanistan-Iran railway corridor became operational today, and the first passenger trains traveled along it. Undoubtedly, this is already a new "level" of escalation, much higher than a simple clash at the border. A similar level of escalation is characteristic of the beginning of a full-scale war. It seems that the USA is seriously engaged in dissecting the Beijing-Kabul-Tehran axis. And it can be dissected only by a blow to the core - that is, in Afghanistan.

Afghanistan may become the new epicenter of an asymmetric confrontation between China and the United States. What can be the development in this situation? An ultimatum to the Taliban regarding the new location of the American military base in Bagram. If the Taliban reject it, a ground operation may be launched, since there is nothing much to bomb in Afghanistan. But not by the forces of the US ground army, but by the forces of the Pakistani army.

In this case, another Afghan war awaits us, only this time the fundamentalists in Kabul will be helped by China and India at the same time. And, perhaps, the Russian Federation. History repeats itself, but this time in exact reverse. It will be a huge adventure for Pakistan, but it is not for nothing that its military leadership has flown to Washington several times in recent months and even met Trump in person. Relations between Afghanistan and Pakistan cannot be called cloudless.

At first, Afghanistan did not recognize the "Durand Line" drawn by the British between the two countries. Military conflicts have occurred before. Afghanistan supported the Baloch of Pakistan, and Islamabad the fundamentalists against the secular government. In addition, Afghanistan demanded autonomy for the Pashtuns living in Pakistan, as its Constitution provided for such an administrative unit.

In response, Pakistan banked on Afghan fundamentalists such as future Mujahideen leaders Gulbuddin Hekmatyar and Ahmad Shah Masood (whose cult is now growing in Afghanistan). It is not the first time that Pakistan has "sold" itself on the geopolitical "market". US President Jimmy Carter called Pakistan a "frontline state of the Cold War". Now we would say "frontier". Under Ronald Reagan, the US gave Pakistan a total of 7.

2 billion dollars (a huge amount for those times) and 40 F-16 fighter jets in exchange for indirect participation in the Afghan war. Similar events are happening now. In addition, this is also a way to "separate" Pakistan from China (in fact, this is the main purpose of what is happening). But for Pakistan, such tactics carry enormous risks. First, the Baloch factor, who may be supported by the Taliban. Secondly, India and China will jointly help Afghanistan.
