On May 26, the commander of the 414 Separate Brigade of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces Robert Brody ("Magyar") showed a collection of video with the work of pilots "Birds of the Madyara". In the video, the pilot with the Cedar call sign commented on the process of completing the task, meanwhile on the screen showed records from the FPV-Drone camera. In the third minute, an hangar with three units of Russian technology appears in the frame.
To hear how the operator calls what he sees, and among other things - a tank. FPV "hangs in the air" and inspects the room. When it becomes clear that there are no more interesting goals, the device crashes into an armored vehicle and explodes. "We choose the most valuable, the most vulnerable. It is very far - that is, we have flew about 42 km and almost not to Mariupol. We saw the hangar, flew into it - BMP stands, tanks," - hear on the video.
Cedar also explained that the unit did not have too many drones, similar to the one who blew up the tank. Therefore, the fighters could not fly again to make sure that the Russian armored vehicle was destroyed. "This is a megave distance! We have gone well! So the enemy leaves us well with hangers we fly into. The fiber is driving!" Said the fighter.
The video and Magyara post did not indicate the front line of the Front was able to reach the Russian Armed Forces tank at a distance of 42 km from the front line. It should be noted that in April, Ukrainian manufacturers, together with the military, conducted tests of drones on the fiber. It was not about UAV, but about robotic platforms. The Defense Express portal explained that platforms could carry more load than drones, keeping the operator at a distance of 10-20 km.
Possible directions of use - for transportation of ammunition, removal of the wounded, spying with the enemy. Meanwhile, in May, a representative of the 42 separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Svyatoslav Lysyuk, told about the "gray zone", which was formed on the front due to the mass use of FPV-zero on the fiber. He explained that the Russians have a large number of such UAVs and because of this it is difficult to rotate and transfer to food and weapons.
