"Explosive Threat" from the Russian Federation: the work of "grain corridor" suspended - consulting company

According to Barva Invest, the vessels have not passed the grain corridor for the last few days because of the threat that arose after the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces had dumped explosives into the sea. Ukraine has temporarily stopped the movement of vessels by the "grain" corridor due to potential dangers related to the actions of Russian military aircraft and sea mines. About it on Thursday, October 26, reports the Kiev consulting company "Barva Invest".

The company stated that on October 25, the administration of the seaports of Ukraine (AMPU) reported that from October 26 the movement of ships from and to the corridor would be suspended. "Such suspension de facto has already been in force over the last two days due to the decisions of the military who referred to the" explosive threat "that arose as a result of increasing the activity of Russian aviation," the company said.

The consulting company reported that the AMPU's decision is related to the command of the command that Russian tactical aviation has demonstrated increased activity near the Marine Trade Way over the Black Sea. In particular, on October 25, it was reported that the air of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation dropped four explosive devices into the water, where the Grain Corridor passes.

"It is important to note that these events can testify to the attempts of the Russian Federation to discredit the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the company said. According to the consulting company, these unexpected restrictions will lead to the termination of vessels, and it is assumed that the business community will respond negatively to this unpredictable course of events.

Market participants who are currently suffered by simple ones will be forced to consider these risks and transfer additional costs down the logistics chain. "As always, as a result, it will feel the manufacturer at the level of purchase price," the company summarized. It should be noted that at the time of publication of the material of the AMPU and the Navy did not report the termination of the movement of ships. In July 2023, Russia refused to participate in the Black Sea Grain initiative.

The Russian Defense Department has announced that since July 20, vessels heading to the Black Sea and Ukrainian ports will be considered as possible carriers of military cargo. On July 20, Russian President Vladimir Putin put forward the conditions for the restoration of the grain agreement.

He made the requirement to abolish sanctions against Russian grain and fertilizers, the return of the SWIFT international payments to Russian banks, the permits for trade in spare parts for agricultural machinery and unlocking agricultural assets. In addition, Putin urged to solve problems with insurance and freighting of vessels, as well as to restore the work of the Ammonia Pass "Togliatti-Odesa".
