The President discussed with Prime Minister of Spain military assistance to Ukraine and strengthening sanctions against the Russian Federation

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky met with Prime Minister of Spain Pedro Sanchez. The head of state thanked for the assistance of Spain in the struggle of Ukraine with Russian aggression, in particular for allocation of EUR 1 billion for military support last year. Ukraine is counting on maintaining the same level of assistance this year.

Volodymyr Zelensky told about the situation in the most difficult areas of the front and the needs of Ukrainian soldiers on the battlefield, in particular in artillery and armored vehicles. For Ukraine, it is critically important to strengthen positions for the sake of pressure on Russia and forcing the aggressor state to a fair and long peace. Separately, the President emphasized the importance of increasing sanction pressure on the Russian Federation.
