After completing a telephone conversation with US President Donald Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin went to the press and said the Kremlin was ready to work with Kiev on a Memorandum for a Peace Treaty. According to the Russian dictator, Ukraine and the Russian Federation should "find compromises", and the restoration of contacts of the parties in Istanbul indicates that the process is moving "in the whole correct way".
At the same time, Putin added that to cease fire at the front in Ukraine requires "reaching appropriate arrangements", and a potential memorandum may contain principles of settlement. In addition, Russia's leader stated that Moscow remains the main "elimination of the root cause of the crisis".
