Russians should not get used to the fact that their missiles and "shahedis" help them somehow - the President's address

The task of the Defense Minister - he is now with the Europeans and our other partners in Ramstein: we need to accelerate with the packages for our air defense. This is a key task now not only for Ukraine, but for everyone in Europe. The Russians should not get used to the fact that their rockets and "shaheds" help them in some way. They only complicate everything and undermine diplomatic opportunities, which, to be honest, are few. That is why Ukraine needs support.

Sufficient pressure on Russia is needed. It is necessary to end the war with guaranteed security and certainly without any rewards to the aggressor for the war. These are prerequisites so that Europe is not simply destroyed by other Russian strikes - new aggressions and the same massive attacks against other European states, as we are now repelling in Ukraine. I also expect sufficient activity from the entire system of Ukrainian diplomacy.

This applies to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and every Ukrainian embassy. If the embassy is silent, then this is an unsatisfactory job. Ukraine should be heard, heard everywhere in the world. Ukraine should be helped. I expect corresponding results from the support of Ukraine already this week. As always, I thank our repair and emergency crews, our energy companies, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, communal services - those who work efficiently.

Also to the local leaders of communities and regions, who are really with their people and their communities. Every morning - a selector on the situation in our regions, and it is always clear who works really effectively, and who is only called the government and does not do enough for the people. Of course, there will be conclusions. Our negotiating team is constantly working - guys in contact with the American side. Ukraine is ready for meetings.

Unfortunately, we still don't have enough firm answers from Russia about what is proposed for next week. While we hear the next manipulations with the "hazel nut", it is definitely not about peace. One more thing.

The decision of the International Olympic Committee against Vladyslav Geraskevych, our athlete, who only remembers and honors Ukrainian athletes whose lives were taken by Russian strikes, is definitely not about peace, and not about justice, and not about the principles of the Olympic movement. Sports should not be without memory and respect. Ukrainians are already preparing for competitions in special conditions - in conditions of war.

And this is not politics - to talk about what is happening in reality. Politics is when Russians hide under other passports and still get into competitions. Politics is when the Russian flag is still present at the Olympics. Politics is when the International Olympic Committee is afraid of the truth and therefore provokes chaos.
