"There was a big stretch": Belarusian cyberpartisans attacked the fertilizer plant and blackmailing Lukashenko

To return everything, as it was, hackers demand that Lukashenko release all the political prisoners of "Grodno Nitrogen" and 75 political prisoners with the worst health. Belarusian politically motivated hackers have declared an attack on the largest state fertilizer producer in Grodno Nitrogen in the country because the enterprise is involved in political repression, evasion and human rights abuses. This was reported in their telegram channel.

"Since 2020, Grodno Nitno leadership has been involved in bullying, pressure and political repression against the employees of the enterprise. We have not forgotten punitive raids, denunciations and mass release. Now your turn is paid," the statement reads.

It is noted that hackers have managed to encrypt the internal mail of the enterprise, document circulation and hundreds of working PCs, as well as destroy the backpacks of databases, servers, break the security and surveillance cameras and disrupt the boiler shop. To return, as it was, hackers demand that Belarus leader Alexander Lukashenko release all the political prisoners of "Grodno Nitrogen" and 75 political prisoners with the worst health.

"Now we worked neatly and only used a small part of our opportunities. If you refuse, next time the rates will be even higher," the message reads. The company stated that the company found an external attempt to destabilize its work "by breaching the integrity of the file system on individual resources". "The situation has not influenced and will not affect the production activity of the enterprise," the message reads.

Radio Free Europe informed that one of the factory staff anonymously reported that there was a great stream on the plant at the plant. "People discussed it. Everyone knows what happened and who did it. But how much the attack affected work, I don't know," they added. The hackers themselves stated that for a long time they studied the production processes of the enterprise to make sure that their intervention would not hurt ordinary employees and residents of Grodno.

They also indicated that they could completely stop the plant, but did not do it "for ethical reasons. " Commenting on the evil of "Grodno of Nitrogen", one of the members of the group stated that the state protects the network of the enterprise as a "cowshed, not an explosive object". It should be reminded that on February 8 it was reported that the Ukrainian intelligence officers of the GUR staged a cyberattak to the Russians and disrupted the software of the occupiers that control the drones.
