The offensive continues: ISW confirms the promotion of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation near Avdiivka (map)

According to the Armed Forces General Staff, the Ukrainian forces reflected at least 51 Russian attacks east of Novokalin and Novobakhmutivka; near Stepov, Avdiivka, Pervomaisky and Nevelsky; south of the thin and sever. Russian troops continue offensive actions near Avdiivka. The defense forces were reflected at least 51 enemy attacks in the appropriate direction. This was reported by analysts of the Institute of War Study (ISW).

Geolocation, published on December 13, show that the Russian invaders slightly advanced southeast of the steppe (3 km northwest of Avdiivka).

The General Staff of the Armed Forces reported that at least 51 enemy attacks east of Novokalin (13 km northeast of Avdiivka) and Novobakhmutivka (9 km northwest of Avdiivka) had been reflected; near Stepov, Avdiivka, Pervomaisky (10 km southwest of Avdiivka) and Nevelsky (14 km southwest of Avdiivka); as well as south of the thin (5 km west of Avdiivka) and Severny (6 km west of Avdiivka).

Russian bloggers argued that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation advanced in the industrial zone (southwest of Avdiivka) and east of the Avdiivsky Coke Plant (northwest of Avdiivka), but ISW did not see the visual evidence of such an assumption. The Russian "military" argued that the forces of the Russian Federation continued to attack near the steppe and in the north of Vodyany (7 km southwest of Avdiivka).

The report also noted that the enemy continued the offensive operations under Bakhmut on December 13 and carried out a confirmed advancement. The General Staff of the Armed Forces stated that the Ukrainian forces repelled at least 5 attacks by the Russians near Bogdanivka (6 km northwest of Bakhmut), Ivanivsky (6 km west of Bakhmut), Klushchivka and Andriyivka (10 km southwest of Bakhmut).

Several Russian military bloggers argued that the Russian invaders advanced northeast and east of Bogdanivka and control the section of the Grigorivka-Bogdanivka road (6-9 km northwest of Bakhmut), although ISW did not see the visual evidence of these statements. Another blogger claims that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation advanced in the direction of Ivanovo along the front with a width of two kilometers and to a depth of 700 meters. This isw did not see this.

The officer of the Ukrainian brigade, who acted under Bakhmut, Alexei Tarasenko stated that the invaders were in some ways in the directions of Ivanovsky, Kigshchiyivka and Andreevka, but the enemy began to deploy poorly equipped mobilized staff in these areas, which slowed their advance.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation stated that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation repelled Ukrainian attacks near the Klyshchiyivka and Shum (23 km south of Bakhmut and 9 km northwest of Gorlovka). Earlier, analysts of the Institute of War Study reported that difficult weather conditions have a strong impact on offensive and intelligence operations throughout the front in Ukraine. However, they open up prospects for maneuver.
