According to journalists, the equipment was initially adapted for landing parts, so it can be transported both in the internal cargo compartments and on the external suspensions of the CH-47F Chinook and CH-53K King Stallion helicopters. The car was first presented at the DSEI arms exhibition in 2023 in London. Among the advantages of Caracala, the manufacturer himself calls compactness and suitability for air transportation, that is, this technique is intended primarily for special operations.

"It has a speed, low signature, scaled protection and variety of weapons, which provides high levels of mobility and dominance," Rheinmetall noted. And they add that this year's recent development of the concern has not yet been in trials, especially such as the Armed Forces can carry out on the battlefield. In general, Ukraine emphasizes in Rheinmetall, Ukraine has become the world's first operating country in this development.

In addition, the concern pledged to support the life cycle of the latest development for 20 years. It is a variety of variants of the car - for passenger, group, material transportation, as well as medical cars of CACAL. According to experts, the armored car is created on a modular principle.

This means that its design can be changed and combined depending on the type of tasks to be done: you can install a variety of weapons - from machine guns to PTRCs or low -caliber guns, as well as additional elements of ballistic protection.

"Its unique modular design allows the use of CACAL in airborne operations for various purposes-from simple transportation of troops to medical, combat engineering missions or other logistics tasks,"-said in the description from the manufacturer to which Espresso refers. CACACAL is equipped with a six -cylinder diesel engine of 183 kW (249 hp), which can drive the car up to 140 km/h.

The combination with the full drive 4x4 gives these SUVs high patency on the off -road - they are capable of 60% of the rise, overcome obstacles 33 cm tall and a trench with a depth of half a meter.
