Can pass on the Russian Federation: North Korea creates drones with copies of American hellfire missiles

According to the American General Patrick Kostollo, Moscow can benefit from new North Korea developments by strengthening his military arsenal. The Korean People's Democratic Republic (DPRK) intensifies its efforts in the development of military drones, equipping them with copies of US missiles Hellfire. Army Recognition writes about it with reference to the statement of Brigade General Patrick Kostollo, made at the Conference of the US Army Association in 2024.

The American General said that recently presented drones in the DPRK not only resemble the American MQ-9 Reaper and RQ-4 Global Hawk, but also carry missiles modeled on the AGM-114 Hellfire model. It is about air-land rockets used on American drones. According to the publication, the characteristics of North Korean UAVs and missiles are unknown, but the US military believes that they have been developed with some knowledge of US technologies.

Washington believes that the DPRK could receive this information through espionage or collecting parts in conflict areas. According to the portal, the North Korean drones are less perfect than their American analogues, but they are still a serious threat to the US and their allies, especially in the Indo-Pacific.

Patrick Kostollo stressed that cooperation between North Korea and Russia needs close observation, as Moscow can benefit from the new opportunities of Pyongyan by strengthening his military arsenal. We will remind, last year North Korea introduced combat and reconnaissance UAVs, which are very similar to MQ-9 Reaper produced by General Atomics and RQ-4 Global Hawk from Northrop Grumman.
