More than 3,000 convicted in Ukraine was released early for service in the Armed Forces - the Office of Prosecutor General

Almost 4,000 petitions for the release of convicts were paid for military service under contract. 3 thousand 632 of them have already been sent for consideration by the courts. More than 3,000 convicts have already arrived in military units to get trained for service in the Armed Forces. To do this, they were released conditionally. About it reports "Interfax-Ukraine" with reference to the office of the Prosecutor General.

It is noted that 3 thousand 171 persons from the prisoners who were released conditionally for military service under contract arrived in the military units of the Armed Forces. "As of June 27, 2024, the courts granted 3 thousand 424 petitions of the relevant category," the message reads. " The department reported that the penitentiary institutions had prepared almost 4,000 petitions for the dismissal of convicts conditionally for a contract.

3 thousand 632 of them have already been sent for consideration by the courts, of which 3424 are satisfied. It should be reminded that on June 19, the commander of the second battalion of the 3rd separate assault brigade Dmitry Kukharchuk told how they recruit the convicts in their units. According to him, recruiters study the motivation of the candidate, for which he "sits", conduct an interview and only then make decisions.
