Diplomats 5 countries have postponed negotiations in London to end war in Ukraine - Sky News

To spread: Heads of Foreign Ministries of the United Kingdom, the United States, France, Germany and Ukraine postponed a meeting in London to end the war in Ukraine, which was to take place on Wednesday, April 23. About it reports Sky News. The publication notes that instead of a meeting there will be negotiations between high -ranking officials from five countries. The details have not been officially announced.

"Reducing diplomacy contrasts with increased pressure from Donald Trump and his team to Kiev and Moscow in order to achieve a ceasefire agreement," the journalists added. At the same time, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Sibiga should still be in London. He will hold a bilateral meeting with British colleague David Lemmy.

It should be reminded that on April 23 a meeting in London was planned to end the war in Ukraine, which should also be attended by the United Kingdom, the USA, France, Germany. The United States had to submit a proposal that the cancellation of sanctions imposed since 2014, the promise that Ukraine will never become a member of NATO, and the occupied ZPP will be considered an object in the Ukrainian territory, but will also supply electricity to Russia.

The plan was created after Donald Trump's Special Representative Steve Witcoff met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow last week. The Independent previously wrote that negotiations in London could be a trap for Ukraine. Journalists noted that Kyiv would have no choice but to reject proposals to freeze Russia's control over the East of the country. We will add that the fundamental position of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky did not like the United States.
