Romanenko emphasized that small deliveries are unlikely to provide a systemic result. According to the expert, a batch of twenty Tomahawks will solve practically nothing: due to the powerful Russian anti-aircraft system, most of the missiles can be shot down during the approach. He estimated that about four out of every five launches might miss the target, so only a few of the twenty munitions would actually work effectively—and that would only disable single targets.
In addition, Romanenko added that with an increase in the volume of deliveries, the overall effectiveness of use also increases: the combination of "Tomahawks" with Ukrainian missiles and attack drones makes it possible to distract and stretch the work of the enemy's anti-aircraft defense, so the survivability of part of the missiles increases.
According to his forecast, if Ukraine is given about fifty Tomahawks, it could lead to the destruction of about ten important enemy facilities - and such losses will already have a tangible impact on the Russian production of weapons and ammunition. The expert also drew attention to the available stocks in the United States: according to his data, American warehouses include thousands of cruise missiles of various modifications, so deliveries at the required pace are technically possible.
Romanenko assumed that with regular supplies of 20-30 missiles per month, the duration of large-scale hostilities could be significantly reduced — in his estimation, it would be possible to seize the advantage in about half a year. In summing up, he stated: single parties have little influence on the situation, and the real turning point will be a large series of supplies - roughly a hundred "Tomahawks" could radically change the balance of forces in favor of Ukraine.
"It would be optimal - the more, the better. About a hundred missiles, they would have already corrected the situation, they would have changed it in a mirror," said Romanenko. Earlier, US President Donald Trump spoke about the possible supply of Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine, which, according to analysts, could be an attempt to pressure Russian President Vladimir Putin.
