The RF intelligence chair asked Putin to postpone the invasion of Ukraine, but he refused - analysts

According to British analysts, Russian special services have recruited more than 800 officials of different levels in Ukraine. Some cooperated voluntarily, others - with coercion. The head of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service Sergey Narishkin asked President Vladimir Putin to wait with the invasion of Ukraine, but he refused. Analysts from the British Royal Institute of Joint Services (Rusi) have stated this.

The new report, published on March 29, says that Narishkin spoke to the Kremlin's head that he needed more time to prepare his agents in Ukraine. "It is the invasion that can be considered as the planned climax of a long unconventional campaign that Russia is leading against Ukraine," the report said. According to analysts, Russian special services were able to form a wide network of spies long before the start of a full -scale invasion. This was done by both the SPR and the FSB.

For example, the FSB had the opportunity to load hard disks of computers in the Government of Ukraine to find active people with a pro -Ukrainian position. "Obviously, the Russian special services have been able to recruit a large agent network in Ukraine before the invasion and that most of the auxiliary apparatus remained capable after the invasion, providing a constant flow of agent information to Russian troops," the report reads.

Analysts said that more than 800 Ukrainian officials of different levels were recruited to work with the FSB, some did it voluntarily, while others were coercive. Russian intelligence services and security authorities have achieved more success in Ukraine than its Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, which have suffered numerous failures. Experts also wrote about the main drawback of the special services of Russia.

"The Russian special services are lacking honesty to inform about their own efforts. It seems that there is a systematic problem of exaggeration of their success and concealment of weaknesses before the bosses," the report reads. We will remind that on March 27 the SBU detained the agent group of the FSB, which consisted of assistant People's Deputy of the IPP. According to the intelligence services, the detainees were adjusted on the positions of the Armed Forces in Donetsk and Kharkiv regions.
