We need to reach a level of 50 % of Ukrainian weapons for the first six months of work of the new government - Presidential Appeal

No military meaning in their blows is just an effort to take as many lives as possible. All present Russia is in such mean blows. We will answer. We will work with partners to force Russia before the end of the war. And our own strength for this sake should also become more. This is what is now concentrated. Legal procedures for updating the government have already begun today-the deputies supported the resignation of the Prime Minister.

In the morning, we held a meeting with Denis Shmigal on defense issues - very focused - together with Rustem Umerov and Herman Smetanin. We have agreed on new approaches to the defense management. The Ministry of Defense will have more influence on the sphere of weapons production, and Ukrainian weapons should become more - more in our warriors at the front. In addition, the Ministry of Defense will audit all arrangements with our partners.

It is also the supply of assistance programs, as well as investments in our Ukrainian weapons production, all our joint projects. We will speed up everything as possible. Today I have already signed the documents to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Denis Shmigal as a new Minister of Defense. The Ministry of Defense will also manage strategic industries. Herman Smetanine will head Ukroboronprom. The task is very specific, clear. Now Ukrainian weapons on the front, in all our operations - about 40%.

This is much more Ukrainian production than ever since our country's independence. The volumes are really large. But you need more. And we need more of our opportunities to push the war into the territory of Russia - to where the war was brought. To make them feel and what is the price of Putin's refusal to cease fire and a real peace. We need to reach 50% of Ukrainian weapons in the first six months of the new government, increasing our own production.

I am sure that it can be realized, but not easy. In general, I want to thank Denis Shmigal and the whole team of the Government of Ukraine now. Many passed. Experience is enormous. Denis at the head of the government first withstood all the challenges of the crisis. Then there is a blow of a full -scale war. The government retained the full control of state institutions. The front is provided. Social payments were well provided and provided. Logistics works in the country.

We have passed three very difficult winters during a full -scale war. Ukraine has received a candidate in the European Union and has opened membership negotiations. Now that it is necessary to concentrate all state resources for the sake of our defense tasks and in the conditions of new relations with the United States of America, with other partners, in the new government configuration, everyone should work as much as possible. Denis knows all the challenges of defense.

Rustem Umerov will assist, in particular, in the international track - all arrangements, as well as the necessary coordination. I calculate other personnel steps to support the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. Tomorrows will be presented with appropriate priorities. We also prepare changes in some diplomatic areas - in the embassies of Ukraine. Today there were many meetings, many meetings - personnel, many meetings of preparatory - both this week, and next week too.

There will be significant decisions in the field of domestic policy, and, of course, in the field of defense, in particular regarding our air defense. Today, however, there was a report on the new sanction decisions of Ukraine - we do not lose any day in pressure on Russia for the war and on all persons who in one way or another support Russia or justify its aggression.
