Poland plans to create the most powerful and largest army in Europe - the Defense Ministry

According to Mariusz Blaschak, the Polish government intends to increase its army to 300,000 servicemen. The implementation of this plan can begin after the autumn elections. Polish National Defense Minister Mariusz Blaschak stated during a lecture in Torun on March 25 that the Polish army may soon become the largest in Europe. According to him, Poland should conclude from what is happening in Ukraine now and increase its army to 300,000 servicemen.

About it reports the Polish radio station Radio Szczecin. The head of the Ministry of Defense said that the current actions of the Polish government testify to the intentions to create the largest army in Europe, and Warsaw does not intend to make any plans for the attack. The implementation of this plan, says Blaschak, is scheduled for the period after the autumn elections in the country.

"If we complete our actions, if we can carry them without interference after the autumn elections, then the Polish land troops will soon become the strongest in Europe. We will consistently come to this not because we want to attack someone, but because we want to restrain the aggressor effectively ", - the minister said. Blaschak added that now the Polish army, including territorial defense forces, has 160,000 soldiers.

However, this is not a limit - the number of the army can bring up to 300,000 fighters, of which 250,000 will be personnel and the rest will belong to territorial defense. We will remind, the military analyst Hans Petter Midtun on March 25 suggested that if Russia would bring its aggression against Ukraine to a new level, Poland may become NATO avant -garde in Eastern Europe. According to him, while the NATO is discussing, Poland is gradually increasing the reserves of its weapons.
