"According to modern calculations, Russia will require a minimum of 5-7 years to restore its combat capability. On the other hand, there are many conditions in these calculations that can change the situation. Much will depend on what the result of war will be, how Ukraine will come out of it Like Russia, "said NATO Exgeneral, Czech President Peter Paul.
He noted that the Czech Republic perceives Russia as the number one threat in Europe, in particular, this is what NATO member countries perceive it. Because of this, Pavel stressed, all European armies are preparing for the possibility of "high intensity conflict", since after the war in Ukraine it cannot be excluded. "We all perceive this situation in NATO as a serious one, though we do not want," Czech leader said.
He noted that Ukraine's support is important for the security of Europe, and the Russian Federation should be responsible for its crimes in Ukraine and harm caused. According to him, Prague, Warsaw, Bratislava and Budapest see the situation in Ukraine realistically and are aware of low problems.
"The fact that some countries focus on military assistance, others - on financial or humanitarian, are good, because these components then consist of a complete picture, a complete puzzle of support that Ukraine needs," - says the Czech leader. We will remind that on November 21 the Czech head Petr Pavel stated that the supply of weapons to Kiev is slowing down, so there is a "great risk" of fatigue from the war.
