Military expert Konstantin Moshavets stated that Russians cannot break through the defense of the Armed Forces now, since Ukrainian defenders are at least equivalent to fire power. The Russian military command is trying to apply troops based on the Soviet theory of "deep offensive operation" to quickly break through the defense of the Armed Forces. Konstantin Moshavets, an expert of the Center for Military and Political Studies, wrote about it on Facebook.

According to him, the theory of "deep offensive operation" is intended to break the enemy defense system quickly and effectively to the operational depth, as well as where and how to continue to promote their troops. However, according to the expert, the Russians can not break through the defense of the Armed Forces now, since Ukrainian defenders, at least, are equivalent to fire power.

It is also difficult for Russians to hide any concentration, dislocation and movement of the battalion and above. According to analysts of the American Institute for War Study (ISW) in the report of February 13, the current combat capabilities of Ukraine, which do not allow the Russians to successfully use a "deep offensive operation", largely depend on Western military support.

According to analysts, the Ukrainian forces are currently advantages in counter -battery technologies and opportunities to strike medium and long range. The system provided by the West allowed the Ukrainian forces to achieve significant results in the liberation of the western coast of the Kherson region and a serious "degradation" of the Russian Black Sea Fleet. Mashovets stated that the Russian forces also actively develop their own technologies to counteract Ukrainian opportunities and develop their own capabilities, including systems of radio electronic struggle (EIT), drone, combat management systems. Analysts have stated that if the US stops supporting Ukraine, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation will have the opportunity to seize the advantage on the battlefield.
