The Armed Forces use Russian explosives against the occupiers themselves: they collect shells that have not broken

According to Sergiy Varakin, the commander of the drone unit of the 58th brigade, we have to pick up ammunition of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, which did not break. In its terminology - "cannibalize". Ukraine's reserves of different types of explosive drones are a strategic necessity, but there are not enough explosive substances. Such a statement was made by Vadim Mazevich, a former commander of the Battalion of the UAV of the 3rd OSHB. About it reports Newsweek.

For this reason, some Ukrainian operators collect Russian ammunition that have not been broken and removing explosives from them, although it is an extremely dangerous task. "We need communication systems for these drones and we need an explosive. It takes a lot of that," Mazsey explained. According to Sergiy Varakin, the commander of the unit of the 58th Brigade, the problem is "long ago". He explained that the Ukrainian military was picking up ammunition that did not break.

In its terminology - "cannibalize". And then use against Russian troops. "We have not enough explosives for a long time. This is a big deficit, and we need a lot. We need it in large volumes," Varakin said. The officials of Ukraine talk about the problem of financing. Ukraine's capabilities are incomparable with funds that are directing more than 250 UAV companies, said in a comment to journalists Alexander Kamyshyn, former Minister of Strategic Industry of Ukraine.

"It is so upset, so ashamed: to be able, but not to have sufficient resources" for the defense industry, said Kamyshyn, who now holds the post of advisor to the President. According to Varakin, Ukraine can produce a lot: "We are more creative than Russians. We need opportunities to create a place for this production and, of course, funding. " Investments will help to develop promising directions, not just to produce existing experiences, Mazevich added. Russia's industrial potential is huge.

In December 2023, Samuel Bendett, an expert from CNA drones, noted that Russian volunteers, state and affiliated manufacturers have greatly accelerated the development of FPV-punks and probably pass them on the Russian military tens of thousands on a monthly basis.
