The President appointed Olga Reshetylova (Kobylinska) as a military ombudsman

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, signed a decree on the appointment of Olga Reshetylova (Kobylinska) as a military ombudsman. By another decree, the Head of State dismissed her from the position of authorized representative of the President of Ukraine for the protection of the rights of servicemen and their family members. Olga Reshetylova (Kobylinska) became the first military ombudsman in the history of Ukraine. "This is about the real protection of the rights of our soldiers.

It is important that this is felt at all levels in the Defense Forces of Ukraine: we do what strengthens the army, we also do what strengthens the soldiers in our army," Volodymyr Zelenskyi said. In addition, active work on the creation of the Office of the Military Ombudsman continues. The Head of State signed the decree on its initiation on September 19 of this year, and also approved its provisions. "The main priority now is the launch of the Office of the Military Ombudsman.

At this time, it is also important not to lose the dynamics of processing and responding to appeals and complaints of servicemen. Both in the status of the authorized representative of the President and in the status of the military ombudsman, I will work to ensure a sense of security for the military and to restore justice for them," said Olga Reshetylova (Kobylinska).

The office of the military ombudsman will be a permanent auxiliary body under the President of Ukraine, which will provide civilian control over the observance of the rights of all Defense Forces - active military, fighters of voluntary formations of territorial communities, reservists on training, participants of the resistance movement in the occupation and law enforcement officers participating in hostilities.
