According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, among the crimes committed by Russian soldiers in Ukraine, there are group rapes and rapes of minors. The facts of sexual violence are most recorded in the territory of the Kiev region - there were found 15 victims. In addition, the relevant facts were established in the Chernihiv region (3 victims), in Kharkiv, Donetsk and Kherson regions.
At the same time, Pavlichenko stressed that data on the number of sexual crimes at the disposal of the Ukrainian authorities are not final, since the victims rarely report the facts of such violence. The Deputy Minister urged the victims to tell such cases to law enforcement officers so that they could establish the perpetrators and hold them accountable.
In addition, the Ministry of Internal Affairs noted that in the recently liberated territories in Donetsk, Kharkiv regions are still processing data on sexual crimes by Russian soldiers. In total, according to Pavlichenko, 43 criminal proceedings on the facts of sexual crimes committed by the military personnel of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation were opened. The Deputy Minister said that there may be several facts in one such proceeding, as well as several suspects.
We will remind, in May, the first case of rape during a full -scale war in Ukraine was sent to court. The serviceman of the 239th Regiment of the 90th Guards Panzer Vitebsk-Novovorod Division of the Russian Federation Mikhail Romanov is accused of killing a civilian of the Kiev region and sexual abuse of the killed wife.
