Russia's conflict against NATO: Three most likely scenarios are named

According to expert Oleksandr Musienko, a full -fledged aggression, similar to the invasion of Ukraine, is unlikely, but the script that the Russians made during the annexation of Crimea with the landing of "green men" is quite realistic. Russia attacks NATO countries in the presence of sufficient resources for additional military conflict, except for war in Ukraine. The expert also mentioned several scenarios of possible aggression.

The head of the Center for Military Legal Research Alexander Musienko in an interview with RBC-Ukraine told about it. Musienko noted that the possibility of Russia's attack on NATO countries depends on the type of conflict. Full -fledged aggression, similar to the war with Ukraine, is unlikely, but a script similar to the events in Crimea is quite realistic.

He specified that such an attack could be carried out using aviation, rocket attack, cyberattack, as well as special purpose forces of "green men" that can be planted in NATO countries. The first probable option that the expert speaks is the Crimean Scenario, which involves the emergence of riots in the Russian -speaking community of Latvia, as a result of which Russia could support them with the landing of special forces from Belarus.

"For example, a month or two in Latvia, where there is a Russian -speaking community, there are some riots, during which helicopters from Belarus fly from which" green men "are planted and start maintaining riots. NATO will try to decide whether Russia was attacked by Russia , or any terrorists, "the expert said. Another scenario involves an attempt to land in Gotland, the largest Swedish island in the Baltic Sea, using the Baltic (Kaliningrad region) as a base.

Or Russian ships can block the exit from Denmark to the Baltic Sea to check the NATO reaction. Also, according to Musienko, aggression on Poland through Belarus and Kaliningrad is possible, with a threat to the Suven Corridor, which is the most vulnerable direction. We will remind, the Minister of Defense of Denmark Troyels Lund Poulsen said that the danger from Russia to NATO has increased.

New data shows that the Russian Federation has significantly increased the opportunities for the production of military equipment. On January 14, the media reported with reference to the Bundeswehr's secret documents that Germany is preparing for a possible armed conflict with the Russian Federation, which may begin in the near future.
