Armed Forces Reform: The military told you need to change

According to Miroslav Guy's military, Ukrainian servicemen should eat not only taking into account the calories. In particular, the military diet should be varied and contain the necessary vitamins and amino acids. The diet of the Ukrainian military should consist not only of the required amount of calories of poor quality products, but contain all the nutrients you need. The officer, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Reservists of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Miroslav Guy told this.

Today, the Ukrainian military is eating according to NATO standards, which provides food on the catalog system. According to officer Miroslav Guy, this reform was breakthrough at the time of its introduction in 2014, however, it needs change today. Nevertheless, it will take several years to change the regulatory framework. If it is not prepared or revised, it can create corruption and major problems in organizing food.

According to Miroslav Guy, not one company has to supply products for the military, but several. This will allow commanders to choose which products and where they are purchased. In addition, the food of the military should be balanced. Actually, often at constant dislocations of the military feed monotonously. Therefore, it is necessary to take the basis of nutrition not only the rate of calories, but also the presence of the necessary vitamins and amino acids.

In particular, the military proposes, if possible, to involve professional chefs and allow commanders to choose suppliers. In his opinion, competition will improve the quality of nutrition. "Earlier sometimes in the old system, they were lowered specifically to come only one supplier, and the calculations were taken only in terms of caloric content. And what is caloric content - you can even meat with bones grinding, give and say that caloric content corresponding.

Just of the low -quality products, this caloric content is stuffed, " - explained Miroslav Guy. Even then, the current Defense Minister Alexei Reznikov announced a food reform for the Armed Forces. In particular, he proposed to introduce a flexible menu system. It should be based not in money and calories, but units of measurement and calories. It was also about the introduction of individual menu for vegans and people with different religious beliefs (kosher, shalalny or lean menu).

Shmigal emphasized that it would be a challenge because of the peculiarities of nutrition requirements, including paratroopers, aviation, etc. Therefore, it all requires processing. Among other things, there was also an increase in the number of products suppliers for the Ukrainian military and the creation of rules, making it impossible for conspiracy to purchase products.

Meanwhile, at the beginning of November, the Defense Ministry reported a new pilot project, according to which some products will be separated from the catalog. Currently, it is a separate purchase of cereals and bread. The department says this will reduce the cost of these products. We will remind, in early November the Ministry of Defense reported that food of one military costs 112-147 UAH.
