"No firearms": the Armed Forces explained why they could not knock down a rocket that got to the house in the Dnieper

The statement of the Air Force Commander Mykola Oleshchuk appeared after the words of Presidential Advisor Alexei Arestovich that a multi -storey building in the Dnieper was allegedly suffered from a missile, beaten by aircraft. The Ukrainian army does not yet have the necessary weapons, which would allow to destroy the winged X-22 missiles. This was reported by the Commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk.

According to him, on Saturday, on January 14, from the five far bombers of the TU-22 PCS of the Russian Federation, five winged missiles X-22 were issued. The launches were made from the Kursk region and from the Azov Sea. One of the X-22 missiles, launched from the Kursk region at about 3:30 pm, got to a high-rise building in the city of Dnipro. Radiolocations revealed an exemplary launch, height, rocket flight speed. "However, there are no firearms capable of knocking down this type of missile.

From the beginning of Russia's military aggression, more than 210 missiles of this type have been issued in the territory of Ukraine. None of them was shot down by means of air defense," Oleshchuk commented. Lieutenant General emphasized that anti-aircraft missile complexes, which can be provided to Ukraine by Western partners (referred to as Patriot Pac-3 and SAMP-T), capable of intercepting such air purposes.

Mykola Oleshchuk also urged Ukrainians to trust only the official notification of the Armed Forces and the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and to critically treat all the "loud" statements. The Air Force commander thus hinted at the information scandal, which exploded through the reaction of the OP chairman Alexei Arestovich to the rocket strike on the Dnieper, during which the Russian rocket destroyed the dwelling house.

On Saturday, January 14, Alexei Arestovych in the Ether of the Program with the Russian Human Rights Defender Mark Feigin said that a multi -storey building in the Dnieper was allegedly suffered from a missile, which was shot down by air defense forces of Ukraine. "She was knocked down, she fell into the entrance . . . She exploded when she fell," Arestovich said. It should be noted that this statement of adviser to the head of OP immediately began to spread Russian propaganda. Including in telegrams.

The words of Arestovich were almost immediately reacted by the mayor of the Dnieper Boris Filatov. "From the first day of the war, I said that Arestovich is a self-righteous cattle and a wash mouth. He also added that Arestovich's statement on the Dnieper missile firing on January 14 should be interested in the SBU and counterintelligence. We will remind, on January 15 it became known that the number of victims of rocket strike on the Dnieper increased.

According to the deputy head of the Presidential Office of Ukraine Kirill Tymoshenko, rescuers managed to get 38 people from the rubble in the Dnieper. However, 19 more adults and one child were killed. Focus also wrote that the name of the Commander of the Russian Federation became known, who ordered the firing of the Dnieper.
