Ukraine needs Baobab-K: how to double the losses of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation due to remote changes

Defenders are lacking the means to create dense mine barriers, so we have to improvise with drones or RAAM ammunition. The Poles also have a new development that would become useful for defense forces. The Ukrainian army requires remote mining installations to increase the losses of the invaders during the assault on the positions of defenders. About it reports Defense Express.

The director of the information and consulting agency Sergey Zgurets communicated with Ukrainian military Andrew "Sever" Shishuk. The fighter said that the front of remote miners is essential at the front. According to the military, the defense forces have certain means of mine, but we are talking about rather improvised use of drones in the role of mine barriers or special RAAM ammunition.

However, such remedies do not give the desired density when it is necessary to "thin out" columns of the invaders. The Russians have such installations, including "Land" and special ammunition for Hurricane and Tornado. Therefore, the publication believes that Ukraine needs the same installations. However, remote meal installations are not very widespread in the West, but Poland with its Baobab-K is. The development of Baobab-K was completed in February 2022 by Huta Stalowa Wola.

The main characteristics of the machine are publicly known, there are six launchers on 20 trunks each. 5 mines are placed in each trunk. Therefore, the full charging of the Baobab-K can be up to 600 min, and it takes 30 minutes to shoot, and to shoot everything-22 minutes. The characteristics of the machine will allow you to create a dense minefield with a depth of 30-90 meters wide of 1800 meters. Baobab-K work requires only two crew members, and all work can be automatically done.
