According to Mevlut Chavushoglu, it became more difficult to keep mediation between Ukraine and Russia, as the war lasted, which resulted in new aspects of negotiations. Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Chavushaglu on Thursday, January 19, at a meeting with Turkish citizens in Washington, stated that thanks to Ankara's efforts, significant progress was made in negotiations at the beginning of the war between Russia and Ukraine. According to Turkish Foreign Ministry, it became more difficult to mediation in the Russian-Ukrainian war, as new aspects for negotiations arose. "At first we made great progress. You know that the parties were close to the ceasefire. They have announced it themselves, but now the war is delayed, the conditions have changed, everything has become more difficult. There are different dimensions. Unfortunately, a lot has appeared various aspects for negotiations, "Chavushaglu said.

The speaker emphasized that while Turkey, on the one hand, continues its intermediary efforts, on the other hand, it continues to negotiate the uninterrupted functioning of the Black Sea Agreement on grain, continuation of the exchange of prisoners between the parties, preventing any risk at the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant and prevent the use of US nuclear weapons and Russia.
