Initially, the publication refers to videos with drones that attacked "Mozdok". Judging by the outlines, these footage shows Ukrainian UAC-Kamikadze "February". Earlier, the head of North Ossetia announced the destruction of three such drones. Other Telegram channels also wrote about the destruction of six drones "February" and posted a photo of debris.
However, the author of the post stated that the mentioned fragments are more reminiscent of the Ukrainian UAV "Witch-B", indicating the size of the engines, wooden screws, characteristic of carbon tail beams, as well as the size and shape of the wings. For comparison, the occupier showed a photo where you can see the shape of the power plant and the February screw. "There may have been a combined attack on the airfield. At once two UAV stamps," the occupier suggested.
For its part, the Russian media Mash suggested that the airfield in North Ossetia attacked the Chinese drone Mugin-5 Pro, allegedly launched from the Black Sea in the Odessa area. Earlier, in August 2022, Mugin-5 Pro attacked the headquarters of the Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol. Judging by the video footage, these drones have a similar shape, but differ in the tail.
The only official photo of the drone "February" is a table model with a three-bladed propeller with a double arrow and a V-shaped tail. The cooling grilles on the sides indicate the installed engine type "boxer". The Canadian physicist and drone expert Danielr analyzed the video of the flight and photos of the fragments of this drone and concluded that the drone is large enough to carry a useful load of 1000 kilometers.
It is equipped with a 2-cylinder engine, similar to Hirtth F23, and has some similarity from the UAV "Beaver". In this case, "February" is much larger and more perfect. "Ukraine has used them with skills. Attacks on refineries seem ideal, they are made with smooth reversals before dive on the terminal. These attacks were extremely accurate," the expert notes.
As for the Witch-B drone, it is released by the Militech Group-a Ukrainian group of companies specializing in the development and supply of military and dual-use goods for combat, among its customers: the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the Armed Forces, the SBU, the Territorial Defense forces. There is no data on the characteristics of "sorcerer-B" in the open access, the manufacturer writes on a site that does not disclose information about the apparatus for safety reasons.
