In addition, on the basis of one of the institutions, judging from the reports of the convicts and their relatives, the special training point was organized, where the prisoners are who agreed to go to the war against Ukraine, there are peculiar training for 20 hours a day. And there are no legal grounds for this today. The first recruitment of prisoners to send to Ukraine began in the spring. The recruiters have visited at least 17 colonies of 10 regions of the country.
Hundreds of prisoners of Russian colonies have agreed to take part in hostilities. This information is based on the data of the convicts and their relatives. At least in two colonies, namely, VK-19 in Komi and VK-7 in Karelia-the convicts who agreed to fight, but then changed their minds, now put pressure and send them to penalty. Three prisoners told human rights defenders that businessman Yevhen Prigogin, who is the head of Wagner PEC, was allegedly coming to the colony.
The convicts say that the recruiters come in small groups and pass into the territory of the colony with weapons. They urge to go to "defend the Motherland. " Instead, they are promised a salary of about 200 thousand rubles a month, the payment of hospital in injury of 300 thousand rubles and the so -called "tomb" in the event of death - five million rubles. First of all, recruiters are interested in prisoners of murder and robbery.
According to human rights activists, prisoners are removed from the territory of the colony in groups of 30-36 people. Some of them pass the special training. For this purpose, a whole colony in Rostov-on-Don (VK-2) was allocated. There, as human rights activists and relatives of the convicted person say, a training camp where training takes place is organized.
According to one prisoner and another convicted relative, they train for 20 hours a day, including short -term breaks for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Four hours left to sleep. The first group of prisoners who visited this colony went to the war zone on July 20. After six months, such a "business trip" is promised to be released from the colony by amnesty. But, as human rights activists point out, all promises are quite dubious.
