Diplomats are already working: Ukrainians were stuck on the border with Georgia, exported to the Russian Federation

Georgian border guards did not let six Ukrainians into their country, five of whom were former prisoners from the Kherson region, whom Moscow took out to serve their sentences. Georgia border guards did not enter the territory of their country on the night of August 16-17. They arrived from the Russian Federation and planned to pass through the country in transit. Men are in the buffer zone near the border crossing of the Upper Lars, reports the Novosti-Grusia information portal.

Five of six are former prisoners from the Kherson region, whom Russian security forces have taken out the terms into the territory of Russia during the retreat. And one more is a citizen of Ukraine who entered the Russian Federation and got to the filtration camp. Now he has released and tries to leave the country. It is reported that among those who are stuck in the neutral zone-one HIV-positive, he has four days, as the medicine has ended. Volunteers are still trying to help Ukrainians.

They organized the transfer of food and essentials. But there is a problem with medicines for free - they cannot be bought at the pharmacy. While human rights activists are fighting, trying to resolve the issue, Russian security officers are trying to pick up Ukrainians from a neutral zone between the two checkpoint.

According to the mother of one of the men who communicated with the Georgian media, satellites and Georgian border guards "repelled" her son from the Russians and after that, Ukrainians try to stay closer to the Georgian border guard, where Russian border guards have no right to go. According to journalists, Georgia suggested assistance to the Embassy of Ukraine in order to pass these people through their territory and pass them to the Ukrainian side.

A special meeting with Alexander Shulga was held with an attorney for Ukraine. The diplomat, for his part, reported that he sent information to Kiev and would wait for instructions. In a comment to Babel, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the Ministry, together with the competent authorities of Ukraine, was already engaged in this case.

"Currently, their persons and legal aspects of serving a sentence determined by the court are being checked, the issue of their return to Ukraine is being worked out," the press service said. We will remind, on August 3 it was reported that American cars from Georgia have already stopped re -export in the Russian Federation. On September 26, a similar ban on cars from the EU will take effect. Earlier, on May 25, Focus wrote that Georgia launches flights to Europe for the Russians.
