Among the "goals"-giant companies: the United States has completed the creation of a new package of sanctions against the Russian Federation-Reuters

To spread: a new US sanctions package against Russia is created: it includes restrictions in banking and energy to increase pressure on the Kremlin. Among the "goals" is the state energy giant of the Russian Federation "Gazprom" and a number of other companies. This was reported on May 2 by Reuters, according to several US officials and sources, which are familiar with the issue of sanctions.

"The US officials have completed the development of new economic sanctions against Russia, including banking and energy measures to increase pressure on Moscow to support US President Donald Trump's efforts to end the war against Ukraine," the statement said. One of the unnamed officials who spoke to the correspondents, has disclosed the details of the next package of sanctions against the Kremlin.

According to him, they include large companies that work in the field of natural resources and banking. The official named one of the companies touched on future restrictions - a large Russian state company Gazprom. The official did not voice other details about new sanctions.

Another official who was talking to Reuters reported that the US National Security Council was trying to "coordinate a certain set of tougher punishments against the Kremlin", but stressed that their decisions should be approved by President Donald Trump. It is noted that the approval of a new package of punitive sanctions against Russia is an indication of strengthening the position of the US leader against the Kremlin.

French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barro reported on May 1 that Europe also prepares the next package of sanctions against Russia, which should be 17th in account. The official emphasized that the EU wants to reconcile him with the United States to coordinate with those "devastated" sanctions that, as previously announced, are prepared by Americans. The French Minister did not name the details of the 17th package of sanctions against Russia.
