Andriy Yermak called G7 countries to increase pressure on Russia to cease fire and establish a fair peace

The head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak conducted a videoconference with advisers on national security of the leaders of the Seven Group countries. The conversation was also attended by the Deputy Head of the Head of State Igor Zhovkva and Advisor to the Presidential Office Head Darius Zarivna. Andriy Yermak informed that 34 people were killed in the amount of ballistic missiles as a result of a double impact, and more than a hundred were injured.

This crime was planned because the missiles were directed in the city center on Palm Sunday. On the fourth April, Russia struck a ballistic blow to Kryvyi Rih. This attack has claimed the lives of 19 people, including nine children. “They use terror as messages. It is clear that they want to continue this war. No matter what they tell you. They will try to win Ukraine again and again. And there will be more such attempts. When dealing with the Russians, we must remember that they are ruthless.

Don't look for goodwill - you will not find, ”he said. The Presidential Manager thanked the representative of each of the countries for the reaction of leaders to the tragedy in Sumy. All participants in the conversation condemned the Russian attack and expressed their condolences to the families of the dead. Against the backdrop of permanent Russian rocket strokes on civilian Ukrainians, Andrey Yermak called on G7 countries to increase pressure on the Russian Federation.

“In order to achieve a real cease ceasefire and a long peace, we need to force them, not ask. There is one way - more devastating sanctions against Russia, increased political pressure, more defensive assistance to Ukraine and its rapid entry into the EU. Other paths will allow Russia to simulate a peaceful process, delaying the war, ”he stressed.
