It is necessary to sit down and calm down: Nausseda turned to the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry because of the statement of Russian attack

According to the Lithuanian Head of State, recently all news on Russian aggression has begun to exaggerate. The risks remained at the former level and there was no new threat. Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda called on the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to calm down after statements about the alleged attack of the Russian Federation on the country. About it reports LRT on November 23.

According to the Head of State, nothing has happened in the last few days or weeks, which would speak of a new threat. All the risks remained unchanged, so the Foreign Minister Gabrielus Landsbergis may not worry. "Suddenly, everything was exaggerated. I would suggest that the Minister of Foreign Affairs just sit down and calm down," Gitanas Naussed said.

The day before, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielus Landsbergis said in one of his interviews that Russia intends to attack one of the countries of Europe after the war in Ukraine. This is just a matter of time, so in his opinion, Vilnius can be in danger. "If Ukraine is forced to negotiate, the world, especially those parts near Ukraine, should start preparing for a new war. I can't say when it will be. Maybe 10 years in five years may perhaps a few years later.

It is very difficult for me to say, "the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry said. At the same time, he added that in Europe there may be too little time to prepare and Vilnius should radically rethink their defense, thereby increasing military costs. "I think Lithuania should actively think about changes in the concept of security and a pyramid of security, built 30 years ago," Gabrielus Landsbergis summed up. He did not comment on the reaction of the President of Lithuania at the time of the material.
