They allow the Bundeswehr to enter into many years of contracts on equipment and weapons - from tanks and frigates to aviation and satellite communications. In the structure of appropriations will be key areas: the highest costs are in 2029 and 2030, when more than 52 billion euros are planned per year.
In addition to the main budget, a special fund, which operates until 2027, remains at the disposal of the Bundesver. Its expenses will be: at the same time, 28 billion euros were spent from the fund by May 2025. Thus, Germany has been forming the largest military procurement program since World War II. The implementation of plans will allow the Bundesver to turn into a leading army of Europe, capable of competing with other major military forces in the world.
