"Anxiety in the Russian Federation through the F-16 Run": How jokes on the network about arrival of the first Western fighters

In humorous memes tell how the Russian Federation responds to new planes in the Armed Forces. At the same time, Ukrainians joke who could be behind the helm. At the end of July, Ukraine, as promised by partners, received the first batch of F-16 fighters. The first shot of the plane was already appeared, which was made in the sky above Odesa. And in social networks, memes on the F-16, which have been waiting for so long in Ukraine, began to appear. The focus gathered the funniest.

The photo shows a fighter that flies in the clouds. Other details that could identify the terrain (even clouds) were blurred. The memes that appeared on social networks, first of all describe the hopes of Ukrainians who have been waiting for the supply of fighters since the beginning of the war. And they roam over the first picture that is unclear where and when it was removed. "I want to believe," is one of the most popular memes, which copies the poster of the famous series "Secret Materials".

The memes also joke the Russians who now have to declare anxiety throughout the Russian Federation. A popular hero of memes is a spokesman for the Russian Ministry of Defense, Igor Konashenkov, who constantly tells about the destroyed military equipment in Ukraine, much exceeding its number, or in general calling fantastic figures. Thus, in 2022 he talked about 44 destroyed Himars, while Ukraine received only 16 systems at that time.

Another hero of memes was the fifth President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, who, according to the authors, managed the first fighter in Ukraine. Vladimir Zelensky in memes is not yet. So far there is only one photo. They also spread the video on July 30, in which the first F-16 flight over Ukraine is reported. However, the authenticity of the video is not confirmed. It is suggested that fighters will be based in Poland. By the end of the summer, only six Ukrainian pilots will be trained at the F-16.
