Ukraine is not Israel: why mobilization to the Armed Forces from the age of 22 is not about justice

Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko took the initiative to lower the mobilization age to 22. Politician Denys Yaroslavsky, in principle, is not against it, but he believes that this initiative would look more motivating if representatives of the Ukrainian elite sent their children to fight in this wave. Vitaliy Klitschko proposed lowering the age of mobilization from 25 to 22, — Politico. "Earlier, 18-year-old young people served in the army, but they are children.

Now in Ukraine, they mobilize only from the age of 25. It is possible to lower this age by a year or two - to 23 or 22," Klitschko said. I am not against such a statement of the mayor of the capital, but he just said it not very motivating. If he had sent his two sons, each of whom would give a head start to many paratroopers, to the front, as Israeli mayors and ministers have done, then his words would have sounded more convincing.

And so they are with Ukraine only in the heart, but in body they are far from what their father is talking about. The main thing is the explanation of the "elite" that their children are citizens of other countries, therefore they cannot fight in the Armed Forces, is a LIE. Three international legions of volunteers from Ichkeria and half of the countries of Latin America are fighting here. Their children can safely sign contracts, being citizens of either the USA or EU countries.
