It is known that the United States was sent to Ukraine a group of cyberexperts at the end of 2021 on the background of increasing international tension and forecasts of cyberattack from the Russian Federation. Specialist preventive action helped stop (or at least slow) the attackers' attacks, identify some weaknesses of the network and have made it possible to better understand what tools hackers use.
The head of the US Army Cyber Command, General Paul Nakasone recalled that the task of the group headed by the Marine Corps was to help the Ukrainian State Security Service prepare for likely attacks in the Internet space on critical infrastructure. It is worth noting that cyber team develops strategies for an opponent's ahead. There is no task to cope with the consequences of attacks.
The command, which has been instructed to protect the information networks of the US Department of Defense and coordinate cyberspace operations, has conducted dozens of such missions in a number of countries in recent years. Cyberfhachivs have previously visited Croatia, Estonia, Lithuania, Montenegro and Northern Macedonia. For example, work in Lithuania began before Russia invaded Ukraine and ended in May. It was the first joint operation of Lithuania and American experts.
