The aggressor will pay for everything: the Cabinet of Ministers voiced the amount of losses from the occupation of Crimea

According to Prime Minister Denis Shmigal, Russia will have to compensate for losses not only for the occupation of the peninsula, but also for a full-scale war. Damages from the occupation of Ukrainian Crimea by Russia as of 2023 are estimated at over UAH 120 billion. Prime Minister Denis Shmigal declared it on August 23.

He noted that after defeat in the war, the aggressor country would have to compensate for losses not only for the occupation of the peninsula, but also for a full-scale war, resolved against Ukraine on February 24, 2022. "The loss from the occupation of Crimea is at least UAH 120 billion. The exact amount will be known after the release of the peninsula and the audit. The government is working on the concept of confiscation of Russian assets frozen in the West," the head of government said.

According to him, it will be possible to compensate for the losses after the international compensation mechanism is launched, for which the aggressor will pay for everything destroyed. "While Crimea is occupied, it is impossible to speak of justice, sustainable peace, security in Europe and international order based on the rules. But our flag will again rise above the Ukrainian Simferopol, Sevastopol, Yalta and other cities of the Ukrainian Peninsula.

Crimea will become part of the Great Strong and European Ukraine ", - added Denis Shmigal. We will remind, on June 23, 2023 it became known that the company of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine and five other companies of the group want to forcibly recover from Russia a multibillion -dollar compensation for lost assets in Crimea. "As Russia has voluntarily paid Naftogaz, the funds provided for in the arbitration decision, we intend to use all available mechanisms to recover these funds.
