Journalists compared the updated version of educational materials with the textbooks of the previous version of 2021. In particular, the former version reported that the author of the chronicle "The Tale of Temporary Years" was a monk of the Kiev-Pechersk Monastery of Nestor, and in the edited version of Nestor was already named simply a monk, without clarifying the place of residence and service. In other paragraphs, Kiev was replaced by synonymous with the words "capital" or Rus.
The date of foundation of the ancient Russian state was changed - from 882 to 862. The new edition of the textbook will be supplemented by methodological materials that specify the role of Kiev in the history of Russia. Representatives of the Prosvita Publishing House noted that these tutorials are still transferred to the schools by the end of spring, and from next year Russian students will begin to study on them.
