The Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov told about innovations in the system of military service in an interview with the Public portal. According to Umerov, a new law on mobilization will be amended for conscription, demobilization, delay and social protection of the military. In this case, the military will be in the army as long as the war continues. The soldiers mobilized to the Armed Forces will be offered two mechanisms to be able to recover, the minister explained.

In particular, they will be able to "partially demobilize" or use a vacation. For this purpose, special mechanisms are created - legal, legislative and technical. "We need to understand that this is our common goal, it is a question of justice for everyone. We are working on those who are already at war, and we have found decisions that will be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada," the official is convinced. In Ukraine, they will also create a special "mobilization matrix", Umerov said.

"Matrix" means that the events that will occur with a person who is called to the army will be clearly prescribed - how training, combat coordination, entering the front line, receiving vacation, social assistance, etc. will take place. "Unfortunately, we have perceived that serving the Motherland is punishment. These worldviews need to be changed: both approaches to them and formats. My goal is to solve these problems. " As Umerov explained, they plan to think about whether it is advisable to reduce the conscript age to 25 years. He also noted that they would keep records and invite other ways to the CCC rather than stopping men on the streets.
