In the Russian Federation began to test or actively use a new type of UAV C-70 "hunting"-Eradar

The drone was spotted at the Akhtubinsk airfield in the Astrakhan region. According to Ukrainian sources, the device appeared at the air base after January 15. At the Akhtubinsk airfield in the Astrakhan region of Russia, a new C-70 drone was seen. The satellite image with the Russian UAV was published Telegram channel "Eradar" on January 18.

The image shows the outlines of the aircraft, reminiscent of the shape of the drone C-70, which is made according to the scheme "Flying Wing" with the use of stealth technologies. The comments under the picture say that the Russians may have started a new UAV. "Apparently, the Russian Federation began to test or actively use a new type of UAV-C-70" hunting ". If you believe satellite images, this UAV was delivered to the Akhtubinsk airfield two days ago," the message reads.

It is also noted that Russia has only three such devices in the arsenal - they were adopted in 2023. At the same time, the first C-70 test flight took place before the full-scale invasion of Ukraine-in 2019. Russian profile resources with reference to experts write that when developing a drone, the designers stopped on the scheme "Flying Wing". The length of the C-70 reaches 14 m, and the wingspan is 19 m-it is almost one and a half times more than that of Su-34 bombard.

The runway of the apparatus is about 25 tons, and the flight range reaches 5000 km, the ceiling - within 18 km, while "hunting" can carry weapons weighing up to 2. 8 tons. It is claimed that the speed of flight of the device can reach 1400 km/h. Part of the machine systems are unified with Su-57 fighter systems. Russian sources have not passed high-profile statements about the use of artificial intelligence in C-70 technologies.

The drone is allegedly a prototype of the 6th generation fighter, but the device will not have the function of making a decision on the use of weapons. At the same time, despite the stated characteristics, the "hunt" is a typical drone that resembles an American B-2 Spirit American bomber. Its design involves equipping according to a modular scheme, which will allow to change the health load depending on the nature of combat use.
