Killed or injured: at the Prosecutor General's office told how many children were injured in the war

The head of the department Andriy Kostin stressed that the statistics are still approximate, since it did not include data from Mariupol and other occupied territories. Since the beginning of a full -scale invasion of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Russian invaders have killed 483 children. Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin announced this on Wednesday, May 31. "Today, our children suffer from war in all its manifestations," Kostin said.

He also cited figures and facts that illustrate the crimes of the Russian military against children. As of today, there are 483 children who have died. According to Kostin, these figures can be several times larger, since the statistics did not include children in Mariupol and those minors who are currently living in the occupied territory of Ukraine. In addition, 989 children were injured in varying severity.

The Prosecutor General added that more than 2,900 proceedings against children committed by Russian invaders are already investigating. Kostin mentioned the deportation of Ukrainian children to Russia. Investigators know that 19400 Ukrainian children were illegally exported to the Russian Federation. However, from the video and correspondence of the Russian military in the prosecutor's office, they concluded that hundreds of thousands of small Ukrainians were in fact stolen.

"The future of Ukraine must inevitably include the return of all our children home," Kostin summarized. We will remind, journalists found out how the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation export Ukrainian children. The material was available on May 31. The media wrote that the occupiers were taking children under the pretext of recreation at sea in the Crimea. Some children find themselves in distant Russian regions, for example, in Mordovia.
