The Ombudsman noted that the Russian Federation first had proposals that were previously discussed with Ukraine. He noted that the missing work is done separately. Dmitry Lubinets also reported that as a result of the negotiations, information about some citizens of Ukraine who was considered dead managed to obtain. Of these, the Russian side confirmed alive 23 people. Negotiations in Turkey raised the issue of Ukrainians in Russian captivity since 2014.
"We have a list of people who have been captured by the Kremlin since 2014-158 Ukrainian citizens, most of whom are representatives of the Crimean Tatar people," the Ukrainian Ombudsman said. Lubinets also emphasized that the Russian representatives for the first time accepted the lists made by the Ukrainian side, agreeing to work out and report the location and condition of the people mentioned there.
We will remind that on January 11 at a meeting in Ankara Dmitry Lubinets agreed with Tatiana Moskalkova on the exchange of 40 prisoners of war. The Ombudsman of the Russian Federation also stated that during the talks it was about humanitarian assistance to citizens of Ukraine and Russia.
