Carry over 200 kg: US Army received unusual Grasshoper UAV (video)

To spread: The US defense company Dzyne Technologies has set the US Air Force from Grasshoper's disposable cargo planers designed to work at high risk conditions. This is stated in the Dzyne Presrealization. The manufacturer noted that Grasshoper was created in cooperation with the US Air Force as an inexpensive logistics solution, capable of reaching areas inaccessible to traditional aircraft. "Grasshoper is a transformative jump into autonomous supply.

Its ability to deliver critically important loads from large distances, while leaving our planes and crews in safe, is an important advantage in modern operating conditions," said US Air Force Research Laboratory. DZYNE CEO, Matthew Maccue, added that, in addition to military tasks, Grasshoper can participate in humanitarian aid and elimination of natural disasters, where fast, accurate and unmanned delivery of critical cargo can save life.

Given the success of Grasshoper Low and Medium -range, Dzyne is currently actively developing an option with greater flight range, which is expected to be available in early 2026, to further expand the possibilities of autonomous logistics in difficult conditions. According to NEXTGEN DEFENSE, when launching from a Grasshoper carrier, it stabilizes and flies at a speed of up to 176 km per hour. To land next to the intended purpose of the UAV uses parachute.
