Minus 230 air defense installations. As Russia is deprived of its potential in protecting the sky

In recent months, Russia has suffered unprecedented losses of air defense. Analyzing them, the military observer Alexander Kovalenko draws attention to the pleasant consequences of this process for Ukraine. The planned destruction of Russian air defense: brittle balance is broken.

When the daily reports of the Armed Forces General Staff are published on the loss of Russian occupation troops (ROV), many first of all pay attention to the number of destroyed invaders, tanks, artillery, leaving no less important positions. And one of these is aircraft, which is difficult to compensate for quickly, and the production of a new one is a slow and long process.

This week, the UK Ministry of Defense in the next intelligence inspection on the situation in Ukraine noted that the losses of the Large radius of action (C-400/s-300) will make the mole to transfer such complexes from other locations, thereby weakening protection there.

For example, it became known about the destruction of three starting SPRs C-400 in the Luhansk region, received reports of losses of P) in the temporarily occupied Crimea, and on November 3, a documentary confirmation of the destruction of the Russian KP 5H63C C-300PS in Zaporizhzhia region was published.

ROV is indeed suffered by serious losses in aircraft of a large radius, given that these complexes are not located near the line of combat clashes, and often-in the rear zone and even a deep rear, if we talk about, for example, the C-400 ZRK. But it is not quite correct to pay solely this echelon, ignoring complexes of a small and medium radius of action.

For example, it is the complexes of the small and medium radius of action that ensure not only air objects such as aviation or missile, but also small-sized, which can not be counteracted by the C-300 and C-400. It is the complexes of MRD and SRD that protect the C-300 and C-400 from UAV strikes, performing the cover function. But as we can see, they are not particularly possible lately. I wonder why? Loss of Russian air defense.

During the full -scale invasion of Ukraine, 566 cases of destruction, damage and shaped by Russian air defense agents are known. Since the beginning of the offensive of the Defense Forces of Ukraine in June, in 5 months 230 means of Air Force were destroyed. In June and then in July, monthly records were set for the destruction of air defense.

The numbers are incredible, but what do they say? For example, if we consider only verified data, that is, losses, confirmed photos and videos, the Russian invaders have lost 41 TOR-M1/2 SPAs, which is one of the most effective means of aircraft with a near-range radius. If you talk about verified data, then the loss of modifications of the SAM "Thor" exceeded 60 units! Similarly with the CRPC "shell-C1", the verified losses of which are 20 units, with not verified-more than 40 complexes.

According to this scheme of loss of SAM "Buk-M1/2/3" amounted to 48/70, SPR "Arrow-10" 34/60, OSA ZRC 15/40 and more. All these complexes of MRD and SRD should not only cover the advanced units of the RVB along the LBZ, but also create echelons deep into the temporarily occupied territories, and provide covering the complex radius complexes.

But they are getting smaller and less every day, which was clearly visible from the breakthroughs of some aircraft of the airspace of Russia and Moscow in particular. But the most striking example is the destruction of the C-400 Triumph complex at Cape Tarhankut in August this year.
