The purpose of the Russian command in the 2023 campaign is to capture the whole Donbas, or to move our army from the Crimean corridor. To capture the coal, the Russians concentrated the units of their best troops-the Marines and Airborne troops, ammunition reserves. For us, a successful defense of the coal is the task of maximum losses by Russian elite brigades.
We remember how the Russians tried for the first time to capture the coal in the fall and stopped in the village of Pavlovka near the city. The Russian regular army is very sensitive to losses, and the Russian media then rose a wave that the Russian Marines were broken. The coal is a convenient defense border, it is at altitudes, the enemy comes from the lowlands, there is an opportunity to inflict new defeat.
