Kanevsky noted that last year, Ukraine purchased more than 1. 5 million drones together with the State Special Communications and Information Protection Service. At the same time, 96% of the funds were directed to Ukrainian manufacturers and suppliers, which contributed to the development of the domestic UAV.
"If in 2023 the Ministry of Defense purchased thousands of drones, then according to the results of 2024, together with the State Service of Special Communication and Information Protection of Ukraine, Ukraine purchased more than 1. 5 million drones," he said. According to him, next year the Defense Complex of Ukraine plans to release about 4. 5 million FPV-pins, and the Ministry of Defense intends to buy them in full.
For this purpose, in 2025, funding in the amount of more than UAH 110 billion is provided, of which more than UAH 102 billion will be distributed through the Defense Procurement Agency. Kavevsky added that the financing of all the planned purchases is already provided - this will allow the front of unmanned systems to be promptly saturated.
He also stressed that the production of drones at one of the state -owned enterprises, which was reported in January, could increase competition in the market. And the Ministry of Defense's control and minimal products will make other manufacturers review the pricing policy, which will increase the economic efficiency of purchases.
