Russian army attacks NATO's drones: ISW warned of danger

The Russian MIC is improving shock drones and HRS using combat experience in Ukraine. Moscow develops the advanced developments to attack the Western countries, analysts of the Institute of War Study said. The Russian military improves shock drones and remedies of electronic wrestling (EIT). Advanced technological developments are already used in hybrid operations against NATO countries, according to the analytical construction of the American Institute for War Study (ISW).

New UAV development and remedies are created taking into account the experience gained during a full -scale war with Ukraine. In 2024, NATO often faced the threats of such attacks and sabotage from Russia, analysts indicate. Countering Russian drones proves the need for the Defense Alliance to further develop military capabilities. The Russian MIC will continue to introduce experience to create the latest technologies gained on the battlefield in Ukraine, according to ISW experts.

An example is the recent episode over the Air Base Schweather on February 9 in Germany, where the military of the Armed Forces is trained. The Bundesver reported about the span of unknown drones, Der Spiegel wrote. This air base is located on the North Sea and is considered a special control area. For the last few months, Ukrainian soldiers have been studying there with high -performance air defense systems, including Patriot.

"On the base, they were spying, among the main suspects in such cases - Russian special services," - the newspaper says. In addition, in January 2025, suspicious drones were spotted six times over this air base. In this case, the special equipment for their suppression involved in the German army did not lead to landing of UAV. It was also not possible to determine who managed them.

Der Spiegel acknowledges that the appearance of unknown drones near military facilities in Germany has become part of the "sad daily reality. " Focus wrote how the United Kingdom creates new WASP and Snapper drones for the Armed Forces. Boats can play an important role in operations against the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation. Ukrainian specialists have created a copy of the Iranian drone "Shahaned", which is attacked by Ukrainian peaceful cities.
