Crimea without "festivities", and Kursk region without salutes: Russians introduced restrictions on the New Year

According to the governor of Kursk region Roman Starovoit, the ban on fireworks will be in force until the end of the holidays. Mass measures are canceled on the same period for the same period. As a result of the war, there will be no mass "festivities" on the territory of the temporarily occupied Peninsula of Crimea for the New Year, but part of the regions of Russia was left without fireworks during this period. The governor of Kursk region in his Telegram-channel confirmed the ban on the use of pyrotechnics. According to Roman Starovoit, a meeting of the regional operational headquarters was held, where such a conclusion came. "They decided to ban the use of pyrotechnic products in the Kursk region from November 15, 2023 to January 25, 2024. This is due to the need to ensure the safety and tranquility in the message. Separately, he urged the locals to approach such rules in the holidays.

Law enforcement officers are allegedly maintaining this issue. Also, according to the Russian edition of "RIA Novosti", a similar ban began to operate in the Belgorod region, which is also located on the border with Ukraine. On November 14, the head of the occupation administration of Crimea Serhiy Aksyonov wrote that on November 14, he did not plan to ensure the safety of local residents on the territory of the Peninsula of wide and mass events during the New Year and Christmas.

"But, of course, we will do everything you need to create a festive mood. In a limited format there will be New Year holidays for children; in settlements, as always, Christmas trees will be installed, decorated with streets," - the message reads.
