According to the Russian military, Dmitry Lysytsky's suicide could be the fault of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation on Kherson and the airport in Nikolaev. Lieutenant Colonel of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation Dmitry Lisitsky shot himself in his apartment in Stavropol after the failure of the invaders in the south of Ukraine. This was reported by the Russian Air Force Service on June 21. The publication states that Lisitsky was found dead on March 26.

According to persons close to the Russian officer, his death is connected with the unsuccessful offensive of the invaders in 2022 under the guidance of General Arkady Marzoev. According to one of the militarys of the Russian Federation, about one and a half thousand soldiers were killed under the command of Marzoev. According to him, the commander ordered the paratroopers of the 247 regiment to storm Kherson, where they were ambushed and suffered great losses.

The situation with "meat assaults" was repeated when trying to step on the Armed Forces on the airport in Nikolaev. "In just two days, the 247th DSP lost 76 people killed and about 140 wounded, 9 combat vehicles were destroyed," the blogger said. Two Russian soldiers argued in conversation with journalists that Lysytsky was able to withdraw his battalion from the environment at the Nikolaev airport without loss.

According to them, he organized the defense river Ingulets, which lasted until the departure of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation from the right bank of the Dnieper. "He lived a regiment, it could also be influenced. The regiment did not suffer," said the former subordinate of Lisitsky.
