Hundreds of tanks, BMP and howitzer: Zaluzhny named the conditions for the Armed Forces to borders on February 23

The Ukrainian army is not yet able to conduct large -scale military operations because of a shortage of weapons, but one large maneuver is already on the approach, said the Armed Forces Commander. To release the Ukrainian defense forces on the borders of the sample on February 23 requires a lot of additional weapons - its number is calculated in hundreds of tanks, BMP and howitzers.

The commander -in -chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny stated this in an interview with The Economist. "I know that I can defeat this enemy. But I need resources. I need 300 tanks, 600-700 BMP, 500 howits. Zaluzhny added that it is impossible to deepen the territory with two brigades, and Ukrainian troops receive less weapons than needed.

"It is not time to turn to Ukrainian soldiers as Mannerheim appealed to Finnish soldiers (refers to the appeal of the Finnish commander Gustav Mannerheim to the soldiers of July 10, 1941 with a call to release Karelia - ed. ) , - the general added. According to Zaluzhny, with the resources that are now in the Armed Forces, it cannot carry out new major operations, although Ukrainian troops are now working on one of them and this operation is already on the approach.
